Kevin Nishimura

Co-Producer

Kevin is a third-year VFMP student who is thrilled to return to the Gala for the third time! Having participated on both sides of the show, he is excited to help shape a Gala that reflects the care and creativity of the people behind it. Outside of school, he enjoys endlessly chasing after MLB games and baking, with the goal of one day hosting a bake sale. Supported by his incredible team, he looks forward to organizing yet another memorable event!

William Lin

Co-Producer

Will is a third-year VFMP student and is excited to serve as Co-Producer this year! Passionate about the performing arts, he began playing classical piano at age four and has performed at renowned venues like Carnegie Hall in New York. Will enjoys utilizing music to spread positivity and help others, organizing benefit concerts for local senior homes and Vancouver charities. He is excited to share the many outstanding talents of UBC Medicine. Outside of school, Will loves to keep active with activities like going to the gym, running, and training MMA.

Rebecca Liu

Artistic Director

Rebecca is a fourth-year VFMP medical student who is excited to return to the Spring Gala Team for the fourth and final time! As an Artistic Director, she looks forward to shaping the creative vision of the show and helping performers bring their best to the stage. Since high school, Rebecca has been actively involved in the arts and event organizing for her arts programs. In her free time, she enjoys bouldering, ultimate frisbee, and creating medical illustrations.

Sherry Zhao

Artistic Director

Sherry is a third-year VFMP student excited to return to the Spring Gala team as the Artistic Director. Drawing on her experience as the last year’s Technical Director, she looks forward to curating a strong lineup of performances and helping to create a memorable show. In her free time, Sherry enjoys hot yoga, reading, and volunteering at the local cat sanctuary. She is excited to contribute behind the scenes and bring this vibrant celebration of talent in medicine to life.

Katharine Yeo

Artistic Director

Katharine is a second-year VFMP student excited to join the Spring Gala team for the first time as Artistic Director. With a lifelong passion for dance and a background in music, she is eager to help showcase the incredible talents of her classmates and bring the community together for a memorable night of entertainment. Outside of school, Katharine enjoys dancing, weight lifting at the gym, reading, and spending time in nature.

Yu Chi Lin

Technical Director

Yu Chi is a second-year VFMP student excited to return to the Spring Gala team as the Technical Director. His experiences from last year’s show inspired him to take on the technical side of the production and help ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. A passionate musician, he plays saxophone, clarinet, and piano, and loves staying active through ultimate frisbee, running, and biking. As an “Ortho Bro” at heart, his favorite organs are muscles and bones.

Tegan Wilder

Technical Director

Tegan is a first-year VFMP student and is excited to be a technical director this year. Growing up as a dancer, she learned to love arts of many kinds. She is excited to put on a show that showcases the joys and talents of her fellow medical students. Outside of school, Tegan can be found hiking with her two dogs, dancing, and playing board games.

Jiwon Hwang

Publicity Director (General)

Jiwon is a third-year student at VFMP, excited to contribute to the Spring Gala committee this year after enjoying her experience performing with the MUSE ensemble in 2024 and 2025. Growing up, she played viola with the Vancouver Youth Symphony Orchestra and participated in the McMaster Health Sciences Musical, fostering her love for music and artistic expression. Passionate for curating events that bring people together through the arts, Jiwon invites everyone to join the upcoming Spring Gala in March—a celebration of creativity and performance!

Ashiana Sunderji

Publicity Director (General)

Ashiana is a second-year VFMP medical student excited to return to the Spring Gala stage. After performing last year with Terpsichore, she is grateful for the chance to participate again in a space that celebrates creativity within medicine. Having grown up dancing, performance has long been a grounding and joyful outlet for her, offering balance and connection beyond the classroom. Outside of medicine, she enjoys contemporary and Bollywood dance, Pilates, and creative storytelling. She is looking forward to an evening that brings together artistry, community, and celebration across the UBC medical community.

Tiffany Chang

Publicity Director (Social Media)

Tiffany is a first-year VFMP student from the Fraser cohort and is excited to join the Spring Gala team as the Social Media and Marketing Director. She joined the Gala to reconnect with her passion in the performance arts, and really values events that encourage artistic and creative expression beyond academia. In her free time, Tiffany enjoys dancing, creating videos and photography, and napping with her dog, Binu. She looks forward to collaborating with others who share a love for the arts and helping showcase the creativity of the UBC medical community.

Reeve Liew

Publicity Director (Social Media)

Reeve is a second-year VFMP student and Publicity Director for the Spring Gala team. He is excited to be part of an event that celebrates the diverse talents, interests, and artistic endeavours within the UBC Medical School community. In his free time, Reeve enjoys playing soccer on the weekends, going on impromptu runs, and discovering new places to hike or camp. He also loves expressing his creativity through photography, videography, and graphic design, both in personal projects and organizational roles.

Ariane Prescott

Finance Director

Ariane is a first year student at UBC Medicine and is the Finance Director and a photograher for the Spring Gala. She is happy to be returning to her home province of BC after spending the last four years at UofT studying neuroscience. Outside of school, she enjoys taking care of plants, musical theatre, baking, knitting, and other grandmacore hobbies. She is excited to be joining the UBC Med Spring Gala team as a longtime lover of the arts!

Erica Won

Sponsorship Director

Erica Won is a first-year medical student and is excited to join the team in producing an amazing event that will showcase student talent! Erica grew up surrounded by the arts and took directing and acting roles in numerous plays during high school. She wishes to bring her experience and energy to create another wonderful Med Spring Gala!

Victor Lee

Art Show Director

Victor is a fourth-year VFMP student and one of the Art Show Directors. Since starting medical school, the Spring Gala has been an unforgettable yearly highlight for him. He is excited to help celebrate the remarkable talent and creativity of UBC medical students! A lifelong painter, Victor draws inspiration from the breathtaking landscapes and wildlife of the Pacific Northwest, which feature prominently in his work. While he doesn’t plan to pursue a career in nephrology, his favourite organ is the kidney.
